Ginnie Springs

One of my favorite spots to visit near Gainesville is Ginnie Springs. It is located on the Santa Fe River in High Springs, Florida. When you get there, it is recommended to rent a float. This will make it easier to travel around the spring. It is a great spot to go river tubing, swimming, snorkeling, camping, scuba and cave diving. When I went the water was cold, but crystal clear. Ginnie has seven crystal clear springs that are 72 degrees year round. I would recommend bringing water shoes on this adventure because it can be slippery.

You can experience Ginnie Springs in many ways. A tent, tube, kayak, paddle board, canoe, snorkel, mask, and fins, diving equipment. Rentals are available there and prices can be found on the website. All rentals require a deposit and are due back by 6 P.M. on return date. If you have equipment from home, you are welcomed to bring and use it with no charge.
